Lamezia Terme – The exhibition-conference and social dinner “I will take care of you…because you are a special being”, promoted by Masci, focused on the theme of care, in all aspects – of others, of creation, of the community (Italian Catholic Adult Scout Movement) between the San Domenico Cloister and Corso Giovanni Nicotera, which came alive with conviviality and lights for a “Table without walls” which saw the participation of the city’s scout community and all the people close to the association .
In fact, the founder of Comunità Progetto Sud Don Giacomo Panizza and the writer, lawyer and naturalist Francesco Bevilacqua participated in the conference, introduced by the greetings of the mayor Paolo Mascaro, whose speeches were followed by the testimonies of Silvana Sacco, president of Anteas, Lillino Gaetano , president of the Intese association, Paolo Sirignano, of the Fazenda de Esperanza, and in video connection Ivana Perri, as manager of the “Il Carro” family home. The Masci Solidarity Emporium of Lamezia Terme 2 was also present, and the evening was enlivened by the performances of the children of the Liceo Musicale Campanella.
At the center of the interventions is the aspect of hospitality and the importance of the ability to “create community”, based precisely on the concept of care, already present in Don Milani’s “I CARE”, recalled by Don Panizza. “We have learned that hospitality must be a form of normality, and not an exception: only in this way is the Community created”, testifies Gisella Ferraro, young group leader of Lamezia Terme 1. A form of care that must not only concern others but also nature and creation, a gift to be respected and a place of relationship, a concept developed by Francesco Bevilacqua, author of numerous texts focused on living contact with the environment and the territory. Among those present at the event was also the regional manager of Masci Anna Maione.
