CONSTRUCTION BREAKS. Autostrade per l’Italia has agreed with the territorial institutions, and under the supervision of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, a work calendar which provides for windows of suspension of construction sites during periods of greater exodus, in order to facilitate traffic flows and mitigate the impact on users.
Starting from midnight on April 24thwith the reopening of the Colle Marino Nord tunnel, a new period of suspension of construction sites on the A14 begins, scheduled until May 6th. The activities planned as part of the modernization plan are then suspended for the large window of the summer period starting from May 31st and until the first half of September.
To facilitate travel, the circulation of heavy vehicles is suspended on Thursday 25 April, Sunday 28 April, Wednesday 1 May from 9am to 10pm. Also in view of the counter-exodus of on Sunday 5 May the blockade comes into force from 9am to 10pm.

A24 GRAN SASSO TUNNEL. Due to works thereMonday 29 April closes the Gran Sasso tunnel between Assergi – San Gabriele Colledara (from km 116.8, in the direction of the Teramo Mare highway) dfrom 10pm to 6am on Thursday 30 April.
A14 VAST NORTH-VAL DI SANGRO. On the A14 Bologna-Taranto the section between is closed due to work Vasto Nord and Val di Sangro from 10pm on Monday 29th April to 5am on Tuesday 30th. On the same night, from 8pm to 5am, inside theSangro Est service area, a parking ban for all vehicles is established. As an alternative to closing the section, after the obligatory exit at the Vasto Nord station, take the SS16 Pescara-Foggia towards Pescara and return to the A14 at Val di Sangro
A14 ORTONA-FRANCAVILLA/PESCARA SUD. On the A14 Bologna-Taranto due to works the section between Ortona and Francavilla/Pescara south it closes from 10pm on Thursday 2nd May to 5am on Friday 3rd. Recommended entry towards Pescara: Pescara south.
EMPEROR CAMP. The road sector of the Province of L’Aquila has once again ordered the closure of the road leading to Emperor Camp, which was reopened to vehicular transit last April 13th. The measure is due to the latest snowfall at high altitude. The ordinance takes effect “until the adverse weather and climatic conditions cease and the snow accumulated on the roadway is removed”.
FREE PESCARA-FRANCAVILLA TANGENTIAL AND A14. Due to the closure due to subsidence and the consequent works in the San Silvestro tunnel between Pescara and Francavilla is diverted onto the State Highway 16. The provision is valid until the tunnel is released from seizure and therefore until subsequent renovation works. From midnight on April 3rd the pfree toll on the A14 between Pescara south / Francavilla and Pescara west / Chieti and vice versa until 30 June.
SP 10 PELIGNA RAIANO-VITTORITO. Due to the slope clearing, brush clearing, pruning and tree felling works, the Province of L’Aquila The SP 10 Peligna” (Raiano – Vittorito) closes until Saturday 6 April, from km 06+400 to km 10+900, from 8 am to 6 pm. Motorists can travel on the provincial road that connects Corfinio to Raiano.
PROVINCIAL ROAD 36 L’AQUILA. In L’Aquila provincial road 36 is closed towards Monticchio Fossa. Sled beyond the end of the year the reopening date initially scheduled by the Province for November 30th.
CHIETI, STATE 656 VIADOTTO SAN MARTINO. Traffic on the road slows down state road 656 due to Anas’ work on the pylons of the San Martino viaduct. A14 CONSTRUCTION SITE. The Autostrade per l’Italia dealership warns that the construction sites are operational in the stretch between Pedaso and Vasto Sud according to the calendar shared with the Regions. These are interventions that are part of the national modernization and improvement program that Autostrade per l’Italia has been carrying out in recent years on the network under management. The works – the Plan started in 2020 – in the Abruzzo section particularly concern the Colle Marino Nord tunnel and the Cerrano Sud and Marinelli viaducts in the north direction. The plan, the result of discussions between Aspi and MIT, is updated quarterly.

In the Abruzzo section, in particular, the activities concern the Colle Marino Nord tunnel and the Cerrano Sud and Marinelli viaducts heading north. Between Pescara south and Vasto south instead, construction sites are operational for ordinary maintenance activities. All activities are carried out through the installation of a lane interchange, with the use of one lane. For some construction sites and in some phases of work, there is the possibility of making an additional lane passable in the direction of travel with intense flows.

STATE 16 COSTA DEI TRABOCCHI. Alternating one-way traffic on State Road 16 due to Anas works two bridges near the localities of La Foce and Cavalluccio between Rocca San Giovanni and Fossacesia. Traffic is managed automatically by traffic lights.
CHIETI PROVINCE, FRENTANA STATE. Following the adverse weather conditions, which affected the entire regional territory and in particular the Aventine hydrographic basin, Anas (FS Italiane Group) carried out technical checks on the Aventino 3 bridge located at km 57.539 of the SS 84 “Frentana”, in province of Chieti. Fromon May 26th, until the need ceases, closes the bridge to traffic to be able to carry out technical checks. Traffic coming from Lanciano is diverted onto local roads at km 58.350 of the SS 84 Frentana. For traffic coming from Guardiagrele, the diversion on local roads at km 56.670 of the SS 84 Frentana will be active.
RIGOPIANO-FARINDOLA. There provincial road 8 which leads from Farindola to Rigopiano has been closed since May. Heavy rain caused it to collapse in several places. To reach Rigopiano from the Pescara side, it is recommended to pass through the Vicenne district or the Macchie district.
PROVINCIAL 11 AQUILANA. Due to the collapse of the bridge over the Aterno river in the direction of Molina Aternothe Province of L’Aquila has iTraffic on provincial road 11 was interrupted.
TOLL REFUND. Autostrade per l’Italia reminds you that the new “Cashback with license plate” service is active, valid on the network managed by Autostrade per l’Italia. The service makes reimbursement simpler and more automatic even for users who pay the toll with cards or cash, as already happens for customers equipped with electronic toll systems: it will be sufficient to register on the Free To X app to automatically receive the accrued refunds due to construction delays.
The cashback is recognized starting from 10 minutes of delay (compared to the current 15) due to construction sites, for journeys of up to 99 km.
