«There is a lack of consultation and sharing with the Municipality of Alessandria. Alexala assembly should be postponed”. This is the request that comes from the city councilor and group leader of the Democratic Party Rita Rossa in view of the renewal of the board of directors of the tourism promotion agency scheduled for Monday 29 April.
The Dem exponent underlines how “the relaunch initiatives of Alessandria are all planned according to a vision that accentuates the characteristics of institutional contiguity between territories”. Rossa speaks of a new political vision of conurbation – a theme also highlighted several times by the mayor Giorgio Abonante – and of sharing choices between territories. «For this reason – he highlights – the lack of consultation for the renewal of the Alexala Board of Directors with the Municipality of Alessandria appears inconsistent with the plan of “teaming up” as a province.” This would lead to “an institutional crack that would not help the plan which aims to make our province competitive and offer our operators and businesses a few more chances”.
“Comforting” results of the province which are highlighted by the councilor. «On tourism trends we are in line with the national average but there is still a lot of work to do. A work of determination and passion in which the capital city also plays an important role. This result is the result of years of work by institutions, politicians, associations and, above all, operators”, continues Rossa, underlining the fundamental function it has Alexala. «It is a place of consultation and synthesis of the territory, fundamental for the cohesion and valorization policies of our territories».
The request coming from Rita Rossa aims to underline this territorial unity and maintain it in order to find a better formula that can presuppose sharing. «I propose to Alexala’s members – he concludes – to postpone Monday’s meeting and renew the threads of a necessary and profitable discussion for all of us».
