The temporary exhibition “The Palio di Asti is told through the pages of its brochures from 1967 to today” was inaugurated in the Rione San Secondo headquarters. It will remain open to the public again tomorrow, Sunday 28 April, from 9.30am to 7.30pm.
The administration attended the inauguration in large numbers: the mayor Maurizio Rasero, the councilor for events Riccardo Origlia, the vice-president of the Piedmont Region Fabio Carosso, the honorable Andrea Giaccone and the municipal councilor Maria Ferlisi.

Also present were the Captain of the Palio Gianbattista Filippone and Don Andrea Martinetto, parish priest of San Secondo. The exhibition tells the history and development of the brochure and advertising material relating to our Palio through graphics and photos starting from past years up to the present day.

The event is the result of the painstaking work of the Historical Research Commission of the red and white district, which created the exhibition thanks to material donated and made available by enthusiasts and associations, and by screening the interviews carried out with Remo Dellarovere of Tipografia Astese and with Andrea Cirio, owner of the Publiarco agency.

The influx of tourists and curious people during the first hours of opening was notable and there was great involvement from the entire world of Asti.
Special mention for his presence to the former Rector of San Secondo Pippo Sacco, a great historical memory of our event, thanked with affection by the district. Other thanks from the Santo’s management go to the Asti Protection Consortium for contributing its products to the inaugural toast.
