Condemned by the 5 Star Movement of Legnano for theattack suffered on the night between Wednesday 24th and Thursday 25th April by the ANPI headquarters in Legnanooutraged with the posting of a banner that mimics the exploits of the accountant Ugo Fantozzi by Paolo Villaggio (“The Resistance is a crazy c….”) and with a bag of manure deposited right in front of the shop windows in via Ciro Menotti .
«The 5 Star Movement of Legnano – say the Five Star Movement – firmly condemns the deplorable act committed against the ANPI headquarters in Legnano on the occasion of the Liberation Day celebrations. At the same time it expresses solidarity and closeness to the members of the national association of Italian partisans who have always, with their dedication, they keep alive the memory of the commitment of those who fought at the risk of their lives for the achievement of a free and democratic Italy. The hope is that all citizens, civil and political, will want to distance themselves from such shameful conduct».
The position taken by the Grillini is in addition to those arriving from the square that celebrated April 25thwhere a few hours after the gesture of disgrace towards the ANPI – which also has a precedent in a banner put up last year, again on the night of 25 April – the mayor Lorenzo Radice had spoken of a gesture that creates “a certain concern and indignation » and Mario Principe, general secretary of the CGIL Ticino Olona and member of the board of directors of the ANPI “Mauro Venegoni” section of Legnano, had branded the attack as «shameful and ignoble».
