SPRING 1: MILAN-MONZA 1-2, THE WHITES COME BACK

The match between Milan and Monza ends 2-1, a match valid for the thirty-first day of the championship, played at the “Puma House of Football” in Milan.

The first ring of the match is the Rossoneri. In the 7th minute Liberali tries to knock on the goal defended by Mazza, but the shot is imprecise and the ball ends up high over the crossbar.

Monza’s attitude is perfect: organisation, concentration and determination. There are many reasons and to achieve the goal, being united is the solution.

Milan manages and tries to turn the ball over in search of spaces, but the red and white defense is attentive and ready to restart.

In the 19th minute the home team attempted an attack: Magni sprinted down the left and with a cross found Liberali in the penalty area, who without fail hit the ball with his head. Mazza’s intervention is extraordinary, yet another of a season as an absolute protagonist, denying the Rossoneri a goal.

In the 30th minute, following a corner kick, Capolupo finds Postiglione in the area, who dives past everyone and comes close to scoring.

The game breaks the deadlock in the 36th minute: Liberali overcomes the opposing defense, finds the winning corner and gives the Rossoneri the lead.

Milan continues to attack forcefully and comes very close to doubling their lead, two super saves from Mazza save Monza and keep the result unchanged.

In the second half, Monza started strong and after just a few minutes found the equalizer. In the 7th minute Berretta recovers the ball and serves Marras on the right, who returns on the left, beats Bartocccioni and reopens the match.

The red and whites increase the engine speed, conquer more and more of the pitch and force Milan to defend themselves in their own half of the pitch.

Monza grows as the minutes pass and is increasingly dangerous: first Capolupo, then Marras are very close to doubling the red and white’s lead. Total siege in red and white shades.

In the 27th minute the comeback mission is completed: Martins skips past his opponent and serves Antunovic on the right, who magically puts the Rossoneri defense to rest and scores the 2-1.

The team led by Oscar Brevi is unstoppable and in the 37th minute Diene tries from distance, but the ball ends up high.

Milan tries to react, but Monza defends with great attention, concedes little and wins three very precious points.

In the next round, Saturday 4 May at 11:00, AC Monza will face Frosinone Calcio.
