L’Local health authority of Latina is the first healthcare company in Italy to receive the certification of gender equality.
This was made known by “Certifica”, a body identified in the register of bodies for gender certification, during the conference “The Single Guarantee Committee, a driving force for inclusion and equal opportunities against any gender violence for the administration and staff”, took place in recent days in the Cruise Room of the Palazzo del Collegio Romano Ministry of Culture.
The initiative is part of the activities of the Single Committee to guarantee equal opportunities, the enhancement of the well-being of those who work and against discrimination.
The local health authority of Latina can boast four hospitals (Saint Maria Goretti Of Latin, Alfredo Fiorini Of Terracina, Saint John of God Of Funds And Swiss gift Of Formia) and five districts, in which the 66 percent of women. Furthermore, women are the 51 percent among the leaders of the Pontine ASL.
«The regional health service boasts a notable representation of managers in the top management of health companies, but women are numerically double among the professionals in the sector and are committed daily to guaranteeing the quality of healthcare. We can therefore only welcome with satisfaction yet another recognition for the local health authority of Latina, the first in Italy on gender equality”, he stated Francesco Roccapresident of the Lazio Region.
