CORIGLIANO ROSSANO. The awards ceremony for the second edition of the “Dimmi di Sì AIDO” competition was celebrated on 23 April. In memory of Felice Calabrò” at the Sala Rossa of Palazzo San Bernardino in the Rossano area.

A commission of professionals made up of Emma Bruno, Patrizia Crupi, Erminia Madeo and Flavia Pulignano evaluated the works. A morning of advanced training for the depth of the message, conveyed by the professionalism of the President of the association, Pina Maria Russo, the Vicar Evelina Tavernise and the Administrator Marinella Meligeni who conducted the work. An impeccable organization set in motion by the “pink” management and the volunteers of the Co-Ro Group.

All the competitors, from the fifth grade students of primary school to the secondary school students, were the undisputed protagonists of the ceremony. Through various forms of expression (written, graphic, digital, artistic, musical) they thrilled the audience of guests, captivated by compositions born, in many cases, from the direct experience of organ donation.

This is the example of Mattia Fuoco, class VA of IC Cariati who won first place by school order because he was the only one who dealt with a direct experience, tackling the story of the donation by a direct relative, i.e. the
grampa. “The emotion that transpires from the words demonstrates how the grandson remembers his grandfather with even greater affection after the gift that occurred before his death, an action that makes him immortal in his eyes.” -these are the words of the judging commission.

Also leading the charge for the other two places in the ranking and in relation to primary school, the Cariati comprehensive institute with Maria Lettieri in second place and Sara Russo in third.

This was followed by the awards ceremony of the lower secondary school, in which the pupil Laura Grilletta from class II D of the IC Mandatoriccio-Plesso di Campana was awarded for first place with an unpublished story entitled “The second chance” in where thanks to the construction of the psychological profiles of the characters, the reader empathizes with their feelings and the situations experienced.

In second place the entire class IE group of the IC of Cariati with the creation of the graphic work entitled “Carpe Diem”, finally in third place the student Germinara Cristina of the class II D of the IC Mandatoriccio-Plesso Campana with the story ” Choosing a gift” e
Cozzetto Pasquale with the poem, “Donating is life” For the secondary school, however, with ex-aequo, two students won first place in the ranking, respectively from the IIS “Aletti” of Trebisacce and from the Liceo Artistico of Rossano High School Campus.

Giuseppe Saporito, a student of class IA at the Aletti institute in Trebisacce, moved the audience with his voice with a song that touches the heartstrings in which the metaphors used and the visions that the singer proposes immerse us in a great atmosphere of peace and serenity through its intrinsic message.

With equal merit, the work “The Golden Tree” created by the students of class IA of the Liceo Artistico of the Rossano High School: Giulia Amoriello, Maria Monaco, Andrea Bruno, Maria Immacolata Guagliardi, Saverio Otranto, Flavio Ronzoni. The vertical chromatic evolution is very effective and clearly defines the continuous and eternal bond between Mother Earth and the Sky, having as its common thread the brightness of gold and the feeling of love. The conceptual return to the origins of the tree of life is well connected to a fraternal union between human beings which is well reflected in the AIDO project.

Second place, Annamaria Cappelleri from class IV B of the Liceo Artistico – Polo Liceale with Anna’s poetry and in third place Adele Esposito from the III C of the Liceo Artistico – Polo Liceale with digital painting.

He would be proud Happy to know that his dream of being remembered for doing something important has come true. He, a young student of the Liceo Classico S. Nilo, who wore happiness not only in his name, was full of life and energy – Prof. Rita Milito, the young man’s religion teacher and still today of the Rossano High School, remembered him with emotion. .

And Felice will continue to guide the steps of the Co-Ro Group in the belief that life is always and in any case a gift.
