At the Sarpi classical high school there is someone who has been able to challenge (and overcome) the parking problem: his name is Letizia Pagliarino and for over thirty years he has been driving an Ape Cross to reach the headquarters in Città Alta.
A choice as practical as it is intuitive: the apecar has all the comforts of a car (a closed cabin, which protects it from cold and bad weather) while maintaining, at the same time, the advantages of a motorcycle.
As the teacher, who has been teaching literature in the city high school for over three decades, said, a Courier Bergamo, his is a choice dictated by necessity. Those who teach at Sarpi know this: parking near the school is a nightmare.
With the next measures, namely the opening of the Fara car park and the transformation of the stalls on the Walls into yellow lines for residents, the situation becomes even more worrying.
Parking too expensive, blue stalls… What to do?
In short, for those who teach at Sarpi, but also for the ATA staff, there is no place. Arking Fara will cost too much (three euros and thirty cents per hour, or 165 euros per month), without – for now – any agreement or regulated rate.
Professor Pagliarino, with her blue Ape, has solved an age-old problem: she can travel everywhere and park in the spaces in front of the school, without paying anything. Because she is considered equal to a motorcycle.
At first there were some amused looks. Today, especially the students, have understood. And the teacher is happy to travel on her vehicle: on one occasion, she said, even a woman driving an SUV asked her where she could buy one. Then, someone also took an example from her idea: how Peterschool janitor, who bought a yellow and black Ape.
The only flaw: the video surveillance circuit installed in via Arena struggled to recognize his vehicle, so he received several fines for driving bans, in the face of which Professor Pagliarino did not flinch and asked for them to be cancelled.
