A very packed calendar from 17 June to 6 October, from Florence to the Island of Elba, which will make Italian cycling championships 2024 an entirely “Tuscan” competition.
In fact, the trials to award the national two-wheel title will all take place in our region. “A unique event – said the president of the Cycling Federation, Cordiano Dagnoni – I must say thanks to the Region, which accepted this strong commitment, and to our Regional Committee, committed to completing this project. I believe that, together with the Grand Depart of the Tour de France, for 2024 Tuscany will be the capital of cycling“.
Debut test, as mentioned, on June 17th “Sacchi” velodrome from Florence, with the men’s and women’s Junior track championships. After that, the men’s and women’s time trial championships in all categories will move to Grosseto on June 20th. Among the expected participants there will be Filippo Ganna And Jonathan Milanwhile among women Vittoria Guazzini.
Two days later we return to the Florentine area, to Scarperia, for the Elite women’s road championship which will see among the participants Elisa Balsamo, Silvia Persico and Elisa Longo Borghini; on June 23rd it will then be the turn of the Elite men’s challenge in Sesto Fiorentino, with also the competition Alberto Bettiol. The calendar will then continue to Lucca, Altopascio And Buggianese Bridge. To conclude, in October, the MTB enduro championship will be held Camp in Elba.
