The “new” Cantiere 26 in Prabi di Arco on the afternoon of Friday 26 April warmed up its engines with the presentation to the authorities of the new management, for the next four years, entrusted to the Cooperativa Smart of Rovereto. On Saturday 27th, from 4pm until 1am, “The space event” is scheduled, the actual inauguration party, with a rich menu of initiatives, from readings for children in the afternoon to live concerts by nu-jazz with Cheyenne, electro bobalin with DJ Sibode and ghetto tech/house with DJ Maya.
Francesco, Ilaria, Lorenzo, Luca and Filippo described in detail the management project of the new Cantiere 26. There will be five main areas of activity: from the youth plan and youth projects for cultural-artistic creativity, from orientation and entrepreneurship youth to community development and promotion of active and aware citizenship. Last but not least, healthy lifestyles and sports.
The new Cantiere 26, defined as “the most beautiful youth space in Trentino”, will become a “place of youth emancipation” – explained Lorenzo Remondini, responsible for artistic programming – with a very rich musical festival and cultural activities, lots of theater and will be “a point of reference for the valorisation of local artists”, but will also welcome musicians from outside the region and international, emerging and established. Great attention is also paid to local associations, as well as to schools which will be able to create events open to the entire community in the rooms of Cantiere 26. In short, it will be a “plastic” environment, harmonious with the surrounding environment and a “greenhouse” for new cultural ferments and high quality moments. A place of youth gathering, but above all of socializing. Another pleasant note is the great attention to the “food&beverage” part, with a culinary menu that will tell the peculiarities and specialties of our territory, with a good glass of beer and wine.
Cantiere 26 “will be a place to build community, the home of young people from all over Alto Garda and Ledro”, underlined the mayor of Arco, Alessandro Betta, in his speech.
“It is a fundamental starting point and meeting point for young people from all the Municipalities – said the president of the Valley Community, Claudio Mimiola – I am curious to see what it will be able to do in the coming months and years and what it will be capable of making this greenhouse sprout. Because I am sure that there will be many quality initiatives, as there have been in the past and will also be in the future.”
The councilor for youth policies, Dario Ioppi, was very emotional: “This center needed to restart, to restore confidence in our young people, we all missed this center and the path we started with the Smart Cooperative will give us great satisfactions”. Councilor Ioppi then thanked Dr. Viviana Sbaraini, head of the social policy office of the Municipality of Arco, and Dr. Valerio Costa who, as administrator, “had the merit of first creating this home for young people”.
