Foggia, Gaudiano at the May Day concert in Rome

After the exciting concert at the Auditorium Parco della Musica, GAUDIANO will return live in the capital on the FIRST OF MAY stage.

The Apulian artist will take the stage as a band at the largest free live music event in Europe in the opening hosted by BigMama, live from 1.15pm on Rai Radio 2 and in an exclusive video on Rai Play.

On this occasion, GAUDIANO will perform his latest single live, entitled “FAVONIO”, an intimate and authentic homage to southern Italy: the song tells stories of those who, like the artist himself, were forced to leave their homeland for reasons of work, study or passion, and of those who have chosen to stay, becoming lifeblood for the area.

Gaudiano states: Being able to sing Favonio on the May Day stage seems to reinforce its meaning. I wrote this song thinking of all the people like me who have had to build their own reality far from home, especially when home is in the south and the south still experiences a situation of very strong inequality in terms of work understood as a possibility and a right. There is no better day than Labor Day for my message of hope for change to ring loud and clear.

GAUDIANO
Luca Gaudiano, aka GAUDIANO, was born in Foggia on 3 December 1991 to a mother who was a literature teacher and a father who was an engineer. It was his father who introduced him to music, giving him a guitar for his fifteenth birthday. After graduating he moved to Rome to further his musical studies at Gino Landi’s Da.Re.C Academy and had some satisfying experiences in the field of musical theatre. In 2018 he accompanies his father towards his earthly end, as he fights without rancor and extreme gentleness against a brain tumor. The painful experience leads him to move to Milan and concentrate on his music. He composed his first songs, including “Polvere da sparo”, dedicated to his beloved father.
In 2020 he debuted with the digital 45rpm “Le cose ordini” (Adom Music/Leave Music), containing an A-side of the same title, “Le cose ordini”, a song written during lockdown, and a B-side entitled “Acqua for red-eye”, and signed his first distribution contract with Sony.
After a dazzling journey at “AmaSanremo”, he wins a place among the New Proposals of the Sanremo Festival 2021, which wins with the song “Polvere da sparo” (Leave Music/Adom Music/Sony Music), which is broadcast continuously by December 2020 throughout Italy.
His fourth single, “Rimani” will be released on May 14, 2021 (Adom Music/Sony Music/Epic).
2022 opens with the songs “Oltre le waves” and continues with “100 kg di feathers”, both previews of the new recording project “L’ULTIMO FIORE”, published in July 2022.
“L’ULTIMO FIORE” (Epic/Sony Music Italy) is Gaudiano’s debut album: an intense and refined album, exquisitely pop. Rich in contaminations and precious for the quality of the lyrics, it presents itself as the perfect business card of the artist, passionate and tireless. With this project the singer-songwriter has demonstrated that he is not afraid to experiment and knows how to embrace heterogeneous sounds while maintaining a very specific identity. The common thread that links the 10 songs is certainly the writing, among the most incisive and authentic of the new generation Italian singer-songwriter, which stands out for the immediacy and simplicity with which it manages to communicate feelings that are as personal as they are shareable, reaching even the most hidden depths of the soul and breaking through at first listen.
2022 is also the year of “Once in a Lifetime” (Once): Gaudiano is the protagonist at the theater of the show based on the Oscar-winning film “Once” and winner of eight Tony Awards and a Grammy Award. Produced by Compagnia della Rancia and directed by Mauro Simone, it will tour throughout Italy also in the 2023/2024 season.
But the activity in the theater does not end here. On 4 July 2023, “The Phantom Of The Opera” by Andrew Lloyd Webber debuts at the Politeama Rossetti in Trieste, for the first time in Italy, of which Gaudiano is part of the cast and on 15 October he replaces the protagonist at the Teatro Arcimboldi in Milan.

2023 is also the year of the Foggia artist’s return to television: on 3 November, in fact, thanks to his interpretative skills, Gaudiano wins the 13th edition of Tale e Quale Show, broadcast in prime time on Rai1.
On 10 November 2023 he released the single “Numeri”, followed in January 2024 by “Martini Dry” and “Favonio”.
