Visit to the tourist scenes of Sergio Serpente, port expert, and Simone Montanucci, recent graduate in Business Economics with a thesis on “Technological and managerial aspects in the production and storage of green hydrogen”

“Civitavecchia enjoys a geographical position that makes our port strategic”.

Thus begins the “chat” of the port operator Sergio Serpente with the students of the V tourism classes of the “Stendhal” Institute.

A port expert, Serpente, and Simone Montanucci, a recent graduate in Business Economics with a thesis on “Technological and managerial aspects in the production and storage of green hydrogen”, provided in detail the numbers and activities of the city port.

“The development of the port in recent decades is visible to all, but it can still grow, especially in the commercial sector, while cruise tourism can be further encouraged with targeted managerial and political choices. Logistics moves 15% of the Italian population in our territory, an impressive number that is destined to increase.”

“The port will grow – continues Serpente – thanks to the young people who will emerge thanks to their training, commitment and merit. The work will be created primarily in the port sector thanks to the development of integrated logistics and also to the ecological transition in the field of offshore wind and hydrogen.”
Simone Montanucci then intervened by presenting the Green Hydrogen Project to the students, underlining the importance of combining development, work and respect for the environment. “Continuing your studies after obtaining your high school diploma is fundamental – continues Montanucci – because you need to acquire the right skills to enter the job market. Two paths can be followed: the University or the ITS which, still little known, are proving to be crucial for completing training and having an employment opportunity.
The meeting ended with an appointment for a visit to the port to “bring the students of classes VA and VB “B. even closer together. Croce” to the most economically significant reality of Civitavecchia.
Satisfaction and appreciation on the part of the Headmaster, Professor Maria Federici, who hopes for further moments of meeting and discussion with the productive realities of the area.
