The Trani basketball club is once again confirmed with the team in the highest category being ASD New Juve Trani which also wins Game 2 in Maddaloni (37-45 the final result) and reaches the goal of survival in the national women’s Serie B championship.
After the 58-33 of the first leg in Game 1, the girls arrive at Maddaloni full of energy and find an opponent who will never be tamed: a point-to-point match in which, however, the evident physical superiority and experience of the Bianconeri manages to keep Maddaloni at bay. And it is in fact precisely in crucial moments that the team coached by the Totaro-Rasoli duo manages to extend their lead, also taking advantage of some opponent errors, bringing home the victory that is worth an entire season.
A victory that the entire club dedicated to its player Joana Macello, who in recent days had to return to her country of origin, Argentina, due to the premature death of her dear mother. And, to remember her, before the start of the match a minute of silence was also held with the approval of the Federation, a moment strongly desired by coaches Matteo Totaro and Andrea Rasoli, together with all the Juve Trani staff.
A season full of satisfactions, in short, which culminated with the objective we had set ourselves: efforts and sacrifices later repaid with many good results at home and on various fields throughout Southern Italy, an opportunity to meet even better equipped teams and in the meantime grow, without ever giving up when the result didn’t please the people of Trani.
