A German shepherd bit the owner in the garden of her house in Roccadaspide (Salerno); the woman was taken to hospital, it’s not serious.

A woman was bitten in the head by her dog in Fonte, a hamlet of Roccadaspide, in the province of Salerno; What saved her were her husband, who was with her, and some passers-by, who managed to grab the German shepherd and push him away. It happened in the garden of the victim’s home, in Via Nazionale. The victim was transferred to hospital, her condition is not serious.

According to an initial reconstruction, the woman was in the garden with the dog, the reasons for the attack are not clear at the moment; the animal would have lunged at her suddenly, knocking her to the ground and then biting her on the head while she was face down on the ground. The first to intervene was the husband, who was a few meters away, later helped by some passers-by who were in the area. She was alerted on 118 and, after dressing the wound on the spot, the woman was transported by ambulance to the Eboli emergency room, where the doctors ruled out serious consequences.
