Emiliano Bonazzoli gave a long interview to the microphones of “PianetaSerieB” expressing himself on various topics and in particular on the Serie B championship between the playoff race and second place.

«The Serie B championship is a bit strange, I’ll give you the example of Brescia who at the beginning were in the play-out zone and today are fighting for the play-offs. It is not a given that the first in the ranking will be able to beat the last. We with Parma were also advantaged by Hernani’s expulsion, playing with one man less for 60-70 minutes is tough. About Parma, I won’t say anything (laughs, ed.), but we’re talking about a project that has been going on for three years, the structure of the team has remained more or less the same, apart from a few additions to fill some gaps. This year he is reaping the rewards. Catanzaro, despite being newly promoted, started off with a quiet championship and instead found themselves in the play-off zone; Palermo with the squad they have could have found themselves one or two points away from the top of the table but instead they recently changed coach. It’s a bit of a strange championship.”
«Leathery lick? Relegation is close but it’s not arithmetic, it’s important that the players and the club want to end the season in the best possible way. Giving your best until the end is an opportunity for the group but also for the future prospects of the individuals. How much Bonazzoli is there in Malgrati’s Lecco? «The championships are not all the same, this year there are many more teams that aim to reach the play-offs and win, Cremonese, Palermo, Como. Como has very rich owners, they are building a team with players who come down from Serie A and will give them a hard time until the end. Palermo made some important purchases in January, Catanzaro is there but they play it, they are more carefree and serene because they have nothing to lose and this allows them to offer Vivarini’s good game. Parma unfortunately has to face a mini-tour de force in the last month.”
«Catanzaro impressed me with his game, he doesn’t give points of reference, he has automatisms due to a project that started from afar. The coach has remained the same for the last three years, consequently the players understand what he asks more easily. Some of these players are of a higher category, like Vandeputte; Iemmello more in Serie C but also in Serie B he always showed off, scoring important goals. They aren’t really a surprise but they were good at carrying forward this identity and demonstrating it even on difficult changes. I have always seen Parma as a potential winner of the championship and immediately behind Cremonese because the club’s desire to return to Serie A immediately was clear. Palermo lacked continuity of results and balance in defence. After the purchase of Strefezza, Como made a change and made it clear that they wanted to win the championship, also because they have the financial possibilities. We are talking about a club that wants to do big things in the future, it has changed a coach who was doing well, replacing him with an important name like Fabregas.”
