The report is a sort of “photography” of the accounts as of 31-12-2023: represents the total income and expenditure achieved by the organization during the year.
There is good news for citizens: in these two years lMunicipal administration reduced the deficit by approximately 6 million euros.
At the same time, the expenses incurred to guarantee greater services to citizens increased by approximately 19 million euros compared to last year.
Despite the increase in expenses to guarantee more services, the Municipality has not increased the taxes paid by citizens, above all keeping the municipal surtax among the lowest in Italy.
Furthermore the Municipality of Cerignola further reduced debts for the supply of goods and services by approximately 1,000,000 euros.
The Municipality, unlike other years, respected the payment terms imposed by law to pay the invoices to the various suppliers. To the 31/12/2023 on average pay two days before the deadline.
The achievement of this objective has allowed the Municipality to no longer set aside the sum of 200,000 euros that will be used in 2024 to finance expenses useful to citizens to a guarantee fund.
To the 31-12-2023thanks to a precise and punctual activity of its offices, the Municipality of Cerignola has ongoing public works financed by PNRR resources for over 41 million euros, and advances of over 5 million euros have already been paid to suppliers.
