Carabinieri checks, two arrests

The Carabinieri of the Pomezia Company arrested a 41-year-old Romanian, already known to the police, seriously suspected of the crime of resisting a public official.

More in detail, the Carabinieri of the Aliquota Radiomobile, engaged in a patrolling service, while passing through Torvajanica on the Lungomare delle Meduse decided to carry out an inspection of a large engine car driven by the 41-year-old who was traveling with two compatriots on board. The man, without a driving license, identity documents or insurance, suddenly fled, starting a chase along Via Pontina and Via Nettunense, and was then blocked and arrested in Campo di Carne.

Furthermore, the Carabinieri of the Aliquota Radiomobile, a few hours after the first arrest, while passing through Pomezia in via Ugo la Malfa, arrested a 20-year-old Italian man seriously suspected of the crime of detention for the purpose of dealing in narcotic substances.

In fact, the soldiers, upon entering the public housing complex in via Ugo la Malfa, noticed the boy walking in a suspicious attitude and, following a search which also included his home, they found a wrapper of cocaine weighing 5 g, two wraps of crack weighing 8 g and a further 20 doses of crack weighing a total of 4 g, already divided for sale. Finally, the boy was in possession of a precision scale, packaging material and almost 3,000 euros in cash, likely proceeds from the drug dealing activity.

Both suspects were then taken to the courtrooms of Latina and Velletri, which validated the arrests.
