The damage would amount to 15 thousand euros.

Will Hunt robbed in Ravenna after a concert

As mentioned at the beginning and as revealed by the artist himself, on the night between Wednesday 24 April and Thursday 25 Will Hunt, known on the international scene as the drummer of the gothic metal band Evanescence, was robbed while the band’s van was in the hotel car park Cube.

The looters apparently took possession of approximately 15 thousand euros of material. Hunt, Sturgeon and Armeli performed at the Teatro Socjale in Piangipane (Ravenna) for an evening tribute to Nirvana. This year, in fact, marks the thirtieth anniversary of the late frontman of the Seattle band Kurt Cobain.

As the police and Carabinieri reconstruct, ‘RavennaToday’ reports, the theft would have occurred while the van was near the hotel where the band was staying after the ‘A night with Nirvana’ event. Thieves would have forced the side door presumably using a drill to then access the interior and take possession of the equipment.

The criminals would have taken away guitars, electric bassesthe drums custom by Will Hunt branded Pearl and other accessories. Will Hunt has launched an appeal on social media to ask followers for help in tracing the stolen equipment.

The appeal of the Evanescence drummer on social media

On social media Will Hunt wrote the following:

Check out this guitar, this bass and this drums. The Italian tour was going great until last night in Ravenna. Our van was broken into and the equipment was stolen along with a amplifier for guitar and a head, 2 sets of double pedals and more. If anyone in the Ravenna area sees something similar, write us a message or call the police. No questions asked if it is returned. Said this, we will finish this tour. I’ll play on a damn table if you need to, put a mic on it and let’s go.

The tour continues with rental equipment

‘Ravenna Today’ announces that the tour of Will Hunt and his band will continue, but the group will have to use equipment for rent to be able to play. After the Ravenna date, in fact, the trio will pass through Pistoia with an evening at Santomato Live on Friday 26 April and then continue to Alatri (Frosinone) on the 27th. The Italian tour will end on April 28th at the Coast American Bar in Lanciano (Chieti).

In the summer of 2023 the same fate had befallen Checco Zalone, when his car was looted in Padua. The Apulian comedian had brought that episode back to the stage. Federico Berti Of Relive Eventsheard by ‘Ravenna Today’ expressed his indignation:

Some episodes hurt a lot. We deeply regret that something like this happened to these musicians who are not only our guests, but also our friends. Will Hunt had already been in concert here in the Ravenna area and he had always felt comfortable here. He is a friend of the city.
