Perugia, 26 April 2024 – Una masterclasses original which, through the use of the loop station, aims to investigate the author’s creative process, is about to start Perugia.

The protagonist of the lesson will be one of the talents of Italian music highly appreciated in the green heart of Italy, Serena Brancale that tomorrow (April 27) will hold a voice clinic in the music school The Pentagram.

From an idea developed during the years of teaching of the singer from Bari at the Saint Louis University of Rome and CPM University of Milan, “Frittura Creativa” was born: an experimental lesson on the creative process of a singer-songwriter.

The masterclass will be entirely dedicated to the art of using the loop station – an instrument that has contributed to the improvement of vocal performances over the last 10 years – delving into themes such as harmony, timing and arrangement at the service of musical ideas.

Serena Brancale will highlight the ability to personalize covers, adapt songs to the electronic machine and experiment with melodic games and challenges between participants. In class, we will analyze passages and tackle exercises taken from her book “In Bocca al Loop”, through extemporaneous readings.

It’s not just about making the voice more beautiful, but about bringing out the winning idea.

The last part includes the performance with the return of an unpublished piece (participants can bring their own scores) or of the same exercise studied in class. Students will have the opportunity to bring an accompanying musician.
