Latini and De Bai

Sometimes they come back (maybe). Leonardo Latini, former mayor of Terni, said he was “ready to return to the field” and the opportunity to affirm this was the broadcast ‘Nero su Bianco’, which aired on Tuesday 23 April on Umbria+. Interviewed by the presenter and journalist Laurent De Bai, Latini explained that «to be mayor you have to love the city, I am from Terni and I am in love with Terni so I would not have any kind of problem in facing a task like that of mayor again». When asked by De Bai if he wanted to remove some ‘pebbles’ from his shoes after the centre-right coalition’s non-renomination, the former mayor of Terni replied that he was not used to ‘looking back, I always look forward. I was a mayor with extreme passion – he added – and always thinking about what the future of my city could be. Administering means contributing directly to building the destiny of your community and I believe being mayor is the most beautiful political experience. I have been involved in politics for 35 years now – he concluded -, in the sense that I have never had a role other than that of mayor. I was a district councilor when they still existed, with Professor Ciaurro, and I believe that politics is something that must be experienced.”
