Perugia capital of craft beer with UBeer

PERUGIA – The green heart of Italy is increasingly a protagonist in the craft beer scene and from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th April Perugia will be the stage for UBeer, a festival dedicated to Umbrian beer with the best breweries in the region. Location for the three days will be Barton Park.

Thirteen Umbrian craft breweries with their stands, a rich gastronomic offer thanks to eight Umbrian food trucks, live music and DJ sets at all hours, thematic conferences, relaxation area, outdoor activities and much more. A complete experience therefore, above all to get to know a sector, that of Umbrian craft beer, which is rapidly developing with the possibility of tasting the numerous labels present.
Birra Flea, Gramigna, Mastri Birrai Umbri, Altotevere, Birra Perugia, Birra Bro, Fratelli Perugini, Centolitri, Birra dell’Eremo, San Biagio, Osiride, Bastian Birraio, Birra Alfina) from all over the region will enthusiastically transmit their love for beer and for Umbria, involving visitors in an exciting journey through the scents and tastes of the region. They will do this thanks to stands specially set up for the event, behind their beer tap, bringing the taste of traditional Umbrian craft beer to Barton Park. There will also be space for LadyBug Kombucha, a young project that brings to the local scene a non-alcoholic, sparkling and thirst-quenching drink that combines the genuine flavors of nature with the health properties of fermented tea. A drink for adults and children, suitable for daily consumption but also for mixology.
UBeer also offers an excellent culinary experience thanks to the locally sourced food trucks that bring flavor and liveliness to Barton Park with their vans. Inside the “Food Area”, an area of ​​the Festival entirely designed and dedicated to food, it will be possible to taste: pizza, sandwiches with Umbrian porchetta, fried lake fish, kebabs, Greek pita, poké and the inevitable torte al testo, 100 % made in Umbria. There will be: Umbria Farm, Ebe, Poker’ Poke, Granieri, Siciliy on the road, Pizzeria Gattini, Rosso di Sera, Qui ed Ora.

UBeer is not just beer and good food, but it will also be the time to discover the world of Umbrian beer told by great experts, producers and local institutions. During the event there will also be space for “UBeer Talk”, a format created in collaboration with Luppolo Made in Italy for conferences on the world of beer with the theme of raw materials and artisanal production. Producers will be interviewed to tell stories and products, focusing on the theme of the supply chain, on Umbria as a model in the internal production of malt and hops, and on sustainability. An area of ​​the park will thus be dedicated to moments of in-depth analysis and debate, where sector experts talk about the main dynamics of Umbrian craft beer, present the history of their breweries and offer a valuable perspective on the issues of greatest interest to the movement. Interactive sessions, guided tastings and practical demonstrations will give everyone the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of beer in a fun and active way.
The conferences will be alternated with live sessions, workshops, podcasts and live broadcasts with interviews involving both the producers and the visitors of Ubereer.

The park will also be transformed into a real “Sound Park”, a UBeer musical format that will accompany the tastings for all three days. This stage will keep visitors company for the entire duration of the Festival with DJ sets, live music and vinyl sessions, from 4pm until late at night. Moving from rock rhythms to dance, to hip hop and soul, each genre will find its space, with captivating sounds and the vibrant and contagious energy that characterizes Ubeer.
During all three days through the “Chill Area” you can relax and enjoy the afternoon surrounded by many activities. An entire area of ​​the park entirely dedicated to relaxation, leisure and many activities in collaboration with partners. Table football and games will be provided by the guys from Ideatattiva, protagonists of the latest edition of Umbriacon. To have a memory of the Festival you can take a photo at the Sun Point Ubeer offered by Vetreria Fontivegge. Finally, it will be possible to purchase the Ubereer branded sheet at the dedicated merchandising stand.

Free entry every day: Friday 26 April stands and food trucks open from 4pm to 1am, Saturday 27 from 2pm to 1am and Sunday opening from 1pm, with the “Pic-Nic” format, to allow everyone present to enjoy of spring days at Barton Park. Ticket costs 13 euros online and 15 euros on site, which includes (pocket with UBeer glass + 10 tokens spendable in all stands).
