Next Sunday (28 April) at 9.45 a new appointment for fans of the chivalric orders and the city’s history: the guided tour returns which will lead us to wear the robes of the pilgrim and discover the medieval Lucca of the Knights Templar and the Knights of the Tau: the meeting and departure are at the Zecca di Lucca in Piazzale Verdi. The tour is part of the four-day programme Pilgrim festivalwhich closes the event on Sunday.

“Let’s imagine being able to wear the pilgrim’s tunic, the petaso and the saddlebag and with a wooden stick cross one of the crucial stages of the religious pilgrimage: Lucca – explain the organizers -. We will discover the testimonies that the orders of chivalry left us with the mysteries that surround them, we will see how the coins were minted and we will bring home Charlemagne’s money”.

To guide the participants On the pilgrim paths it will be Professor Andrea Pucci (historian and artist) who will lead us, with his usual mastery, to discover the testimonies of a legendary, mythical and in some respects still mysterious past.

The tours will guide us through the Medieval Luccawill make us discover the testimonies that pilgrims and knights have left us, from Mansion of the Templars to that of the Knights of the Tau of Altopascio, we will pass from the Cathedral of San Martino to the church of San Michele with other stages that will be revealed during the visit.

Prof. Andrea Pucci (historian and artist) will lead the participants “On the Pilgrim’s Paths” and will lead us, with his usual skill, to discover the testimonies

of a legendary, mythical and in some respects still mysterious past.

The cost of 15 euros also includes the visit to Mint Museum with the Charlemagne coin as a gift, at the end of the tour it will be possible to enjoy a hot soup at the refreshment point set up in the basement of the Mint.
