Palermo – Palermo as an open-air set, with many film productions filming in the city. Filming began on Tuesday 23 April for the film “L’abbaglio” by Roberto Andò, which stars the actor Toni Servillo among its protagonists. The historic center of Palermo was also the set for the film on the life of Rosa Balistreri, “The love I have” by director Paolo Licata.

In the next few days it will be the turn of another film, “La consatina del pupo”, among the productions co-financed by the Sicily Film Commission of the Region.

The film “L’Amore che ho“, directed by Paolo Licata, on the life of Rosa Balistreri, is interpreted as mentioned by Lucia Sardo. Cinematic adaptation to tell the dramas and joys of one of the legends of Sicilian popular song, Rosa Balistreri. The title refers to a song by Rosa (originally “L’amuri ca v’haiu”, literally “the love I have for you”), and is taken from the novel of the same name by Luca Torregrossa, the artist’s nephew. Her story and the authentic tale of her incredible destiny offers a glimpse into the singer’s soul and the woman’s heart. Personal, intense, violent, fragile and indestructible, ready to face any sacrifice for her cause, the defense of the rights of the weakest, of workers, of abused and ignored women, and to go against any abuse.
