opportunity to relaunch agriculture with new regional programming councilor Caputo –

Important innovations await Campania agriculture, thanks to the measures implemented by the regional council and in particular by the councilor Nicola Caputo, to whom we cannot but recognize the effort made to support and modernize the sector”. Thus Gennaro Scognamiglio, president of Unci Campania.

An overall intervention strategy for agriculture – continued the number one of the Regional Federation of the National Union of Italian Cooperatives -, the planning of European tenders to facilitate the participation of operators and the availability of huge resources for the relaunch, innovation and the sustainability of primary sector activities. These are the lines of action of Palazzo Santa Lucia, announced by the councillor, which meet the needs of local businesses and grasp the significant challenges to be faced, to overcome the crisis and look to the future with more confidence.

Objectives that can be achieved with a shared path between cooperatives, companies, workers in the sector, trade associations and public institutions, enhancing the existing realities in Campania, with typical and quality productions, which concern both the internal and coastal provinces, with quite a few production records, strengthening the agri-food supply chains and protecting specificities, but also offering adequate opportunities for new projects and in particular for youth initiatives.

In this regard, the increase to 60% of the Region’s financial participation threshold for projects presented by young operators is good news, which we welcome.

The publication of call, with an endowment of 70 million euros, intended for investments to improve the performance of Campania companies, is a decisive step for the start of a new phase in our region, for the competitiveness of agricultural companies, with their adaptation and the introduction of technologies to increase global company performance and improve climate-environmental performance, thus reducing the impact of the agricultural sector”.

The calendar of the next tenders – concluded Scognamiglio -, starting with those on the conservation of biodiversity, the preservation of the rural landscape, forestation, agritourism and staff training, with other substantial allocations, allow for a rationalization of sector policies” .
