new appeal for us to dismiss the case of Cristina Golinucci

«A son and a daughter cannot be archived. If there is anyone who still needs to clear their conscience or wants to tell me things, I’m here: my door has been open for 32 years.”

The deadlines for the extension of the new investigations into the disappearance of Cristina Golinucci expired more than a month ago. Two evenings ago Marisa Degli Angeli, the mother of the girl who disappeared on 1 September 1992, returned to “Chi l’ha Visto?”. To strongly reiterate that her daughter’s case must not be dismissed; and that further investigation must be carried out both on the figure of Emanuel Boke and on the “sexual predator”, over 60 years old from Cesena, who emerged in the latest investigation because he was close to the Catholic circles frequented by both Cristina Golinucci and those of associations linked to the figure of Chiara Bolognesi : another young woman from Cesena who disappeared in October 1992 and was found dead in the waters of the Savio a month after her disappearance.

Mother Marisa is online, supported by correspondent Chiara Cazzaniga, inside her home in Ronta. She appears more tired than many other times also because over the past weekend she took part in the demonstrations in Emilia in support of her mother Roberta: in the similar battle she is carrying out to ensure that the case of her son, Alessandro Venturelli, who himself appeared out of nowhere, is not dismissed for a few years.

“Who has seen?” shows vintage images. In which Marisa Degli Angeli launches the first appeals for broadcasting. Reconstructing with Cristina’s car driven by her sister the path taken by the girl before disappearing: «Even looking at these images there are unacceptable things – she explains – My daughter… 21 years old… Voluntary removal… And no one has ever Thought I’d check out his car. They left it parked at the convent for 15 days thinking that Cristina might come back to get it. Then they gave it back to us. And it is she who has always been at our disposal, without any control. Thinking back to how many things haven’t been done makes me angry. I am close to Roberta and I hope that it doesn’t happen to her like me who in 32 years have seen Cristina’s case open 9 times and close 9 times.”

This last investigation particularly marked mother Marisa: «Because from the papers exhumed by the lawyer Iannuccelli and re-studyed by her and also by the lawyer Nicodemo Gentile it appears clear that I believed I was protected and instead I wasn’t. Friends, people from Cesena, institutions… There are many things that have not been done and many things that have not been said immediately. Through the documents I discovered that here in Cesena, in addition to Emanuel Boke, there was also another sexual predator. And who hid his actions between 1992 and 1995.”

The person in question only became part of the investigation in 2010 when a woman entered mother Marisa’s house assuming that her daughter and Cristina had been molested by this person. But it is only in this latest investigation that the number of women molested by this man (never reported by anyone and never investigated) rises to five. «I’m going crazy about these things – explains Marisa – I know that he frequented Cristina’s circles, I don’t know if he hurt her but certainly if he is a sick person like a sexual predator he is, he needs to be treated. And those who, instead of having him treated by calling him to his responsibilities, simply covered him up, made a mistake.”

This is a person close to ecclesiastical circles and in particular to Catholic Action: «I have always had no issue with the Church: I am a believer. But I’m angry with the people, even church ones, who helped cover up this person. There are some and they were wrong to do it. Certainly anyone who wants to talk to me about these facts will find me here at home. My door is always open and my ears are always available.”

The appeal is also for one woman in particular to come forward. «In this investigation it emerged that there were two women close to the convent. One of whom told her hairdresser about the confidence she had received from the other. That Tuesday 1 September 1992 she was waiting for her daughter near the convent. And he saw a young girl talking to an older man, with the cleric like a friar but dressed “in civilian clothes” and therefore probably not a friar. He tried to console her and had a non-relative attitude even though her age difference was such that she could “be her father”. This woman must be able to tell what she too saw after many years. It is not known who she is and she must be looked for; or if you hear this appeal, please come forward, because your help could be invaluable for the investigations. In all this time we have not even known exactly how many people were hosted at the convent of the Capuchin friars in September 1992. And we do not even know who was near the car park on the day that Cristina disappeared: taking with her the keys to the car and her bag, with his red diary inside which he never separated from.”
