‘Out of procession’, the streets of Bari come alive for Saint Nicholas from 6 May

The Municipality of Bari calls citizens to gather to build the “Outside Corteo – The streets of San Nicola throughout the city”, a widespread schedule of Nicholas-themed events and installations which will involve the streets and squares of the city during the days of the celebration patronal. The Department of Culture and the Department of Economic Development intend to involve the commercial, social and cultural activities of the city to create exhibitions, meetings, lectios, screenings, installations, concerts and exhibitions that have a connection with the Saint of Myra, City Palace reports.

By Tuesday 30 April, operators will be able to propose their activities using the form provided for this purpose (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeyAo_CgbSWoBQyvf2xi_tkxCvq7PoSkfDD1Y3haV1ULUskyA/viewform). The interested operators will have to organize the events independently, providing the necessary authorizations, without any financial contribution being expected from the municipal administration. However, the Municipality of Bari undertakes to provide the activities proposing promotional material (posters, postcards, gadgets), to include the proposed initiatives in the official program of the Fuori Corteo and to communicate them through its institutional channels. Upon expiry of the deadline set for receiving proposals, the proposing activities will be contacted by the organizers to define the contents and methods of the activities and draw up a shared programme.
