Molfetta’s Holy Week on Nicola Giotti’s airbrushed eggs

Sweetness was transformed into light in Molfetta with the pastry chef’s sacred art exhibition Nicola Giotti which was inaugurated last night. The protagonists of the exhibition, set up in the Torrione Passari setting, are the airbrushed eggs, entirely made of chocolate, which depict the statues of Holy Week in Molfetta. An absolute novelty on the national scene, aimed at giving maximum value to food and the industriousness of the artisans.

«Through the mastery of artisan work, the greatest gift of the Lord’s nature, which is food, is elevated to the dignity of a work of art – explains Giotti – the setting contributes to making the exhibition a real path towards light”.

Indeed, the latter represents the underlying theme of the initiative, which is scheduled to remain in the city until May 24th: the characteristic shine of the eggs is also the symbol of hope that gives the exhibition its name, “Via lucis” .
The project was promoted by the “Vincenzo Maria Valente” musical foundation of Molfetta with Confartigianato Bari-Bat-Brindisi and with the patronage of the Municipality of Molfetta.

«I thank the Valente Foundation and the city of Molfetta, in particular the Councilor for Culture Giacomo Rossiello – concludes Giotti – for making this initiative a reality.”
“Via lucis”, with free admission, can be visited from Tuesday to Sunday, from 6pm to 9pm. On Saturdays and Sundays it is also available from 10:00 to 13:00.
