The Liberi e Forti association of former Azione members Paolo Basilico And Michele Capanna Piscé announces support for the centre-right mayoral candidate Piergiorgio Ferretti at the next municipal elections. «Piergiorgio Ferretti, confirmed in recent days as a candidate for mayor and opening up to associations and civic movements present in our city, wanted to meet us to talk about a programmatic involvement of our association in the next municipal elections», explains the group in a note, «initiative which we welcomed positively, because we believe it is a priority to give Atri a strong and above all united government, to address both the many problems that are present and which still need to be resolved, but above all to study all the possible initiatives to ensure that our city grows both on a tourist and business level.” The agreement with the former mayor was sanctioned by the excellent relations between the association, founded last November, and the administration led by Ferretti. «As an association we will strongly support this coalition, both at a programmatic and political level, hoping that Atri can be listened to, with ever greater strength, at all extra-municipal levels», concludes the Liberi e Forti association.
Today could be the day of the official announcement of the candidacy of Giammarco Marcone leading the wide field list that will challenge Ferretti, after the coalition table held last night. Until a few days ago a minority was pushing for the candidacy of Roberto Prosperi, but in the end there should be no problems regarding Marcone’s name. In recent days Marcone has also received the approval of the local 5 Star Movement.
