Great victory in Cagliari in the decisive quarter-final match. Now the challenge against San Salvatore Selargius

Great goal achieved by Klass Coral Alghero: semifinal of the Regional Division 1 play-offs after having prevailed in the quarter-final match against Atletico Cagliari. In the decisive game 3, coach Longano’s team won with a result of 56-61.

A hard-fought match, as expected, and in which everyone’s contribution was fundamental, including the youngest. After ending the first quarter behind, Musso and his teammates took the lead in the second half, trying to move forward upon returning from the break. In the last quarter the Cagliaritans attempted to reopen the match and qualify. However, the Alghero team did well to maintain the clarity necessary to bring home the victory and pass to the semi-final.

This Sunday, April 28th, game 1 is scheduled on the San Salvatore Selargius pitch, then at the beginning of May there will be game 2 in Olmedo, on Coral’s home parquet. In case of a draw after the two matches we will go to game 3 to be played again in Selargius. In the regular season San Salvatore won both matches, even if in the return the Alghero team presented themselves with a reshuffled formation.

Meanwhile, the growth path of the Under 19 team also continues. On the third day of the scheduled phase, the Coral youngsters won on the field of Demones Ozieri, a team that had won both matches in the regular phase. A victory which, in light of previous comparisons, therefore takes on more value and gives us hope for the future.
