There are only 2 days left until the end of the championship and Carpi is at first place with 64 pointsat +4 on Ravenna second and playing away against Borgo San Donnino. This week the Forlìbeaten 2-1 at Cabassi last Sunday, presented a appeal (already rejected on Monday by Sports Judge) and a second attempt at the National Sports Court of Appeal, the outcome of which should arrive after May 1st. The Romagna players believe that the full-back Cecotti he couldn’t play as he served a one-match ban against the Pistoia then excluded from the championship on 16 April, so for the Romagna team the sanction would still be in force. “Forlì’s appeal gave us zero bother. We told the players what had happened, how we moved and after 10 seconds they started training. The things that matter are other things and we have never hidden our objectives. Today in this group there is a great sense of belonging and desire to pedal. The Carpi players must experience this beautiful daily reality 100% and in the future it will be nice to remember these days, on all fronts. There’s no need to say anything else to the boys after everything that’s been happening to us for a few Sundays, or after the mistakes we’ve made and worked on. Everyone wants to be together and train in the hail, rain or with the pitch flooded. There is a city in turmoil and I recommend all Carpi residents to come to Imola to live the moment with us. The judgment on Forlì’s appeal could also arrive after the Imola match. On our part there is no anxiety or desire to finish as soon as possible. We enjoy the moment and this situation does not destabilize us because we are calm. After all, our goal is to score 6 points against both Imola and Certaldo. The recklessness and awareness were born during the interval against Pistoiese, when we were losing 2-1 and Ravenna had slipped away in the standings. In difficult moments, where there could have been changes or reevaluations, President Lazzaretti was the one who believed and persevered more than anyone. Cecotti had a back problem, but we had plenty of players injured and ready to take the field. If he doesn’t play, it will be due to technical choice.
