Frost. Ghelas is an administrative hub that is still rather open and that there were tensions surrounding the fate of the multiservices was already quite evident. Last week, the council launched a sort of new temporary assignment, until next December. However, the documents would have to be approved by the city council and before that have the approval of the board of auditors, a step that is not exactly obvious. Time is running out as the existing extension expires at the end of the month. A further extension seems inevitable, at least for the next three months, pending the installation of the new municipal administration. Ghelas manager Pietro Inferrera made it known that even the most urgent obligations, such as the approval of the budget and the appointments of the technical bodies, are frozen until the next mayor takes office. A vision of things that continues to not convince councilor Antonio Pizzardi, who had already gone so far as to ask for the administrator’s resignation. “There is talk of extraordinary acts not to be formalised, unless before the installation of the next municipal administration – says Pizzardi – I think that the current manager should first of all have respected the commitment he made five months ago, when he reported to the council that he would presented the documents related to the new contract in such a time as to allow the council to deliberate and then the council to express its opinion. None of this happened. The documents were presented the day before the Easter holidays. The manager had all the necessary support to draft them but sent them when the council no longer even had the possibility to evaluate and investigate. Indeed, we tried to develop that content well. The documents were presented in a phase close to the administrative elections, when the city council is also moving towards dissolution”. Pizzardi is still convinced that the manager should have taken a step back, leaving the leadership of the company.
