The photographic exhibition in the house museum of Blessed Don Pino Puglisi was damaged. The complaint is from the president of the Our Father center Maurizio Artale: «We were getting used to the idea that the place of the martyrdom of Blessed Giuseppe Puglisi had finally found its right dimension in the hearts of the inhabitants of Brancaccio: since October 2023 no acts of vandalism – says the president – On Wednesday 24 April, at 9pm, as I do every evening, passing by the Blessed Father Pino Puglisi square, before returning home, I noticed that 4 photos which tell of the Pope’s coming to Father Pino’s house Puglisi had been damaged on 15 September 2018. Furthermore, the electricity supply pipe that illuminates the square had been torn up.”
«The cameras installed in the square, which we hope will show us the faces of the vandals, must not replace the conscience of those who live and experience that square, so don’t be afraid to make a phone call to the police, even anonymously, when you see vandals in action or about to vandalize a sacred place”, concludes Artale.
