The farmhouses in Lombardy are expected to be fully booked for the long weekend of April 25th, with the countryside confirming itself as one of the favorite destinations, despite the uncertain weather. This is what emerges from the estimates of the regional Coldiretti according to the indications of Terranostra Campagna Amica, based on a survey among the associated structures: data which is also fully reflected on Lake Como, for what also promises to be the real launch of the season.
At a regional level, for catering we have an average filling of available places that exceeds 90%, while for overnight stays we exceed 80%.
The agritourism companies offer the possibility of spending a day in the countryside taking advantage of the cuisine of the peasant chefs or take-away dishes, and then discovering the naturalistic and cultural beauties of the area and the small villages.
In addition to catering and accommodation, the offer of agritourism facilities also includes other opportunities: from educational to recreational activities such as horseback riding, trekking, nature observations, mountain bike excursions but also courses and sports proposals.
On a general level – concludes Coldiretti – in Lombardy there are over 1700 agritourisms: numbers that make ours the third region in Italy for active structures, behind Tuscany and Trentino Alto Adige.
