BRINDISI – 2024 will be a summer full of satisfactions for the young tenor from Brindisi Luigi Coffa De Lorenzo. The stages of Switzerland await him: after having interpreted Edoardo Milfort in Gioachino Rossini’s “Change of Marriage” (thanks to the “Marmo all’opera” lyric competition, with a jury presided over by the famous soprano Giovanna Casolla), he will perform in “Rita” by Gaetano Donizetti. Coffa De Lorenzo will therefore be busy at least from 1st to 28th July in the theaters of the Canton of Ticino and also of Northern Italy.

The 30-year-old from Brindisi recently performed – it was April 20th – in the Hall del Lac in Lugano and, on April 21st, in the Parco della Residenza Rivabella in Magliaso, also in the Canton of Ticino. Luigi Coffa De Lorenzo graduated two years ago from the Bari conservatory. He is currently studying with maestro Salvatore Cordella of Copertino. He participated in several masterclasses, including with the tenor Francesco Meli, an artist capable of making his debut at La Scala at just 23 years old.

The Italian tenor lives permanently in Brindisi, but to reap the successes that are starting to arrive he has had to move and also broaden his scope, which has effectively become international. He confesses one of his desires to BrindisiReport: “I like to travel and perform in front of every audience, but my dream is always to sing in my Brindisi. A cultural shock in this city would be nice. I’m not saying this for myself, there are many artists citizens of Brindisi who deserve to perform for their fellow citizens”.
