3, 4, 5 May: Borgo diVino on tour arrives in Bard. A weekend of tastings in one of the most beautiful villages in Italy – News VDA

Bard, in Valle d’Aosta, will host the second stage of Borgo diVino on tour 2024 editionthe excellently organized food and wine event from Valica Spa (MarTech company, sector leader in technological marketing with a specific focus on tourism and food and wine) in collaboration with the Ecce Italia Consortium. The initiative, since the first edition of 2021, has been promoted byAssociation “The most beautiful villages in Italy” and is sponsored by the National Association of Wine Cities.

Friday 3, Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 Mayin Via Vittorio Emanuele II in Bard (AO) you will find a selection of the best local and national winesfor a wine proposal that will range from local labels to those of around 30 wineries from different Italian regions such as Piedmont, Lazio, Basilicata and Sardinia.

Three days dedicated to Taste and Beauty which will allow the public of wine lovers to get to know wines and vines from the various territories presented directly by the producers in particularly evocative contexts selected among “The most beautiful villages in Italy”, for an experience without a doubt unforgettable.

Also a unique opportunity to visit one of the most beautiful medieval villages in the Aosta Valley, where it is impossible not to be enchanted by the grandeur of the Bard Fort, symbol of the village, or by the elegant historic homes such as Casa Challant, Casa Valperga, Casa Ciuca and the eighteenth-century Palazzo Nicole.

How the event works

Borgo diVino on tour will take place in Via Vittorio Emanuele II:

  • Friday 3 May from 6.00pm to 11.00pm
  • Saturday 4 May from 12.00 to 23.00
  • Sunday 5 May from 12.00 to 22.00

Inside the village, a tasting itinerary will be traced which will touch on the places of greatest tourist interest with stands dedicated to the cellars and an original training course on the world of wine, told in around 20 exhibition panels.

Each visitor will be able to purchase a voucher at a cost of €18 including 8 wine tastings and tasting kit. A kit consisting of a tasting bag and glass will be delivered together with the voucher. It is possible to purchase the ticket for the tastings on the site www.borgodivino.it/bard or directly on site.

Not just wine: here are the best gastronomic pairings of Borgo diVino

An important space will also be reserved for the gastronomic experience with street food proposals and traditional dishes that visitors will be able to purchase directly on site, such as: mixed plates of cured meats and cheeses, Valle d’Aosta crepes, polenta with concia and carbonade, etc.

One area, in particular, will be dedicated to the gastronomic specialties of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The initiative falls within the scope of “MIB – Italian Village Market”, a project in institutional cooperation between the Association “The most beautiful villages in Italy” and “BMTI – Italian Telematic Commodity Exchange”, aimed at valorising the typical and quality productions of the territories annexed to the Association.
