The Incognito concert.
Born in England in 1976 from an idea of the legendary Jean Paul “Bluey” Maunickare one of the most important and influential groups on the world soul funk scene, as well as an absolute source of musical inspiration for entire generations: the Incognito they are the international superstars of the Udinestate festival with a concert that promises to be unique and unmissable on the programme Saturday 20 July at 9.00 pm at Udine Castle. Tickets for the concert will go on sale starting from 10:00 am on Friday 26 April.
Who are Incognito.
The Incognito they are an ever-changing band, just like their music, which has resulted in 15 highly successful studio albums in over 30 years of career. The fluidity in the compositions is a characterizing element of the British band’s path; however, this has never affected their well-defined musical style which ranges from soul to funk to r&b.
The successes of early 2000s were confirmed in 2010 by the publication of “Live in London”: the 30th Anniversary Concert and Transatlantic RPM enriched by performances by artists such as Chaka Khan and Mario Biondi. In 2012 the Incognito they release “Surreal”, followed by “Amplified Soul” (2014), “In Search of Better Days” (2016) and their latest work “Tomorrow’s New Dream” (2019), as always an album of immersion in acid jazz and with the contributions of numerous musicians and singers.
After the success of last winter which saw them protagonists of an entire week of soldout concerts at the Blue Note in Milan, by popular demand Incognito return live to Italy for a few selected exclusive concerts in the most important summer festivals of the Italian peninsula: the one scheduled for Saturday 20 July at Castello di Udine finally marks the band’s return to the Friulian capital.
