A lorry driver was the victim of a brutal attack while he was on his vehicle in the municipality of Aprilia. Three men, with their faces covered, immobilized him, robbed and kidnapped him from 12pm yesterday until around 6pm, when he was finally released near the Garigliano bridge.
The victim, after managing to call the police, was reached by a patrol from the Radiomobile Section of the Formia Company to provide assistance. The transporter, still in shock from the experience, was found disoriented but fortunately unharmed.
In the meantime, the engine of the vehicle was found shortly afterwards in the province of Caserta, in the municipality of Cancello ed Arnone, by the carabinieri of the local station. Subsequently, around 8pm, the trailer of the truck was also recovered on the Mondragone-Falciano provincial road by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Mondragone Company. A particularly significant detail emerged during the recovery operations: the trailer container contained 760 packages of calcium carbon worth approximately 28,000 euros, material which was entirely recovered and returned.
