There are 954 applications for enrollment in nursery school presented to the Single Enrollment Center of the Municipality of Modena for the 2024/2025 educational year relating to children resident in the municipal area, in addition to 29 applications presented by non-residents.
Of the total resident applicants, 871 children were admitted in the first instance to the schools indicated by the families in their first or second choice: in percentage terms this is 91.3% of the applicants. For those to whom it was not possible to assign the school on the basis of the choices made by the parents during the application, 55 children in total, 240 places are still available to choose from and which will be made available on a priority basis. The remainder will then be made available later for applications outside the deadline.
The rankings of children born in 2021 admitted to nursery school and of children on the waiting list can already be consulted online only on the website of the Municipality’s Educational Services Sector.
The applications received at the Single Enrollment Centre, the gateway to the offer of the entire Modena integrated system which brings together municipal, Cresci@mo Foundation, state, private affiliated and Fism schools, have increased slightly compared to last year. : 983 overall applications (including non-residents) compared to 942 in 2023 when the families to whom the Educational Services sector had written to inform of the opening of enrollments were 1,276 compared to 1,380 this year.
As regards the schools assigned, in more detail, 79 percent of applicants in September will be able to access the school they entered as their first choice and over 12 percent to the one indicated as their second choice.
The families of the boys and girls remaining on the waiting list will receive a communication from the Admissions Office with the places still available and the methods and deadlines for competing for their assignment.
Parents of those admitted to state schools by May 24th will have to confirm enrollment at the secretariats of their respective comprehensive schools, according to the instructions given in the information letter. Instead, information regarding the start of the service will be communicated to the parents of those admitted to municipal schools and the Cresci@mo Foundation by the Admissions Office. Finally, the families of the children who attend the affiliated schools will be contacted directly by the respective schools.
Furthermore, until May 24th it is still possible to submit an application after the deadline (www.comune.modena.it/servizi/editore-e-formazione) for municipal, state, Cresci@mo Foundation and affiliated nursery schools. Applications must be submitted exclusively online via Spid/Cie/Cns authentication.
