It was put the former Paracchi factory for sale at 531 thousand euros, structure abandoned for thirty years in via Pianezza at the corner of via Pessinetto, San Donato district. This is the figure set as the starting price in the tender announced the other day by the Municipality, Heritage sector, for the sale of the 1,600 square meter factory.
This is a sum 10% lower than that indicated in the last procedure, dating back to December 2023. In that period the City had in fact put the property up for sale at 590 thousand euros, but did not receive any offers. Broadening the discussion, it is one sum halved compared to the million abundant indicated as the starting price in the Municipality’s first attempt to sell the property, which took place after 2014, the date in which it acquired the former factory.
The objective of the department, led by deputy mayor Michela Favaro, is to attract the interest of the greatest possible number of investors, in order to relaunch a structure in an advanced state of decay. For years, in fact, the former Paracchi has been dealing with peeling walls and damaged windows, as well as illegal occupations by desperate people. The final date for submitting an offer to purchase the former factory is set for June 11th. The envelopes are scheduled to be opened the following day.
The former Paracchi factory, inaugurated at the beginning of the last century, was abandoned in the nineties. More than once, in the last ten years, the Municipality tried to sell it, without success. In the middle of last year he turned to Invimit, a subsidiary of the Ministry of Economy, with the aim of identifying a public body that would transform the complex into a student residence. That procedure, however, also ended in nothing. Despite the remediation dating back to 2021, asbestos was found on the structure last year. If the next notice is also deserted, the Municipality will intervene to remove it.
