An accident which occurred this morning, Wednesday 24 April, at the Lainate barrier on the A8 towards Milan, caused serious inconvenience to motorway traffic, in particular for commuters from Varese heading towards the Lombardy capital.
Queues and Blocks
The accident caused traffic to be blocked on the A8 towards Milan, with queues that extended up to 3 kilometres. The repercussions were also felt on the A9, with slowdowns and significant queues, especially at the junction with the A8. Commuters from Varese who went to Milan had to face a real ordeal, with considerable delays and inconveniences.
Situation in Busto Arsizio
In addition to the problems on the motorway, queues were also recorded in Busto Arsizio, in both directions, in the areas joining the A8. The situation was particularly critical in the early hours of the morning, when traffic was heaviest.
