“City of Brescia – Albino de Tavonatti” Award: the 19th edition

The “City of Brescia – Albino de Tavonatti” Award, established by the de Tavonatti family and with the assistance of the Municipality of Brescia, reaches its nineteenth edition this year. The initiative represents an opportunity to remember the figure of Albino de Tavonatti, for many years a public administrator and animator of numerous associative and solidarity initiatives. Municipal councilor for five years, Deputy Mayor for eleven years alongside the Mayor Bruno Boni, de Tavonatti was also the founder and for thirty years President of the Brescia section of the AIAS (Italian Association of Spastic Assistance): a civil and humanitarian commitment, which the award named after him aims to remember. The recognition is dedicated to associations, voluntary bodies and/or individuals who have distinguished themselves in the city and province in works and actions aimed at the care, assistance and social integration of people with disabilities.

How to proceed

The reports, accompanied by a brief description containing the useful elements for the evaluation of the candidacy by the specific commission that will award the prizes, must also contain the indication of a telephone number of the proposer in order to allow any further information. Proposals addressed to the mayor must be received by Monday 17 June, by post to the Protocol office of the Municipality of Brescia (piazza della Loggia 3, 25121 Brescia) or, alternatively, must be sent by e-mail to the certified e-mail addresses: [email protected] [email protected] Reports for the awarding of the Prize may be made by individual citizens, bodies, associations, parishes, trade unions, school bodies or by those who want to highlight realities or citizens committed to people with disabilities. The awards and recognition ceremony will take place in September.
