Autolinee Toscana presented to the municipal administration of Lucca and deposited in the Regionand the first data relating to the new urban public transport system, which came into force in January. In these first months it emerged a satisfactory increase (+15%) in passengers in the municipal areawith particular use of lines 1+, 2+, 3+ (ex Lam), but also of lline 5 which now connects the Pontetetto and Sant’Anna districts with the historic center in a shorter time.
According to the data received from the municipal administration, also good debut of the new Line 4which connects on weekdays the station in the direction of Mugnano, passing through the Arancio and San Filippo districts, while in the opposite direction it passes through the same districts and then through the city center.
Satisfaction therefore for the municipal administration and the mobility department, which together with Tuscany bus lines will continue to promote the service through specific communication campaigns, thus encouraging the increasingly frequent use of buses as an alternative to cars. Monitoring in the area will also continue, to obtain data and feedback useful for further improving and implementing the service.
In this regard, the municipal administration once again recalls the main innovations of the new public transport service which can be consulted on the website www.at-bus.it, with an strengthening of lines and routes which is bringing rapid and excellent feedback. Among the new services we mention the new connection of the Palatucci car park with the historic center (Line 3+), the morning holiday service (in addition to the afternoon one) of the Lines 1+, 2+ and 3+, in addition to the connection with the Revenue Agency (Line 54).
Municipality of Lucca and Tuscany Bus Lines they also signed an agreement regarding the implementation of information systems, with the installation of vocalization buttons on the electronic poles positioned by At in the municipal territory. These are already active audio modules for vocalizing information for users in Italian, displayed on the displays of the electronic poles, complete with battery-operated wireless button, speaker integrated into the display and Text To Speech software license in Italian.
It therefore continues with consistency gradual optimization of the transport service, which also includes the arrival of 25 new electric buses, which will replace the old fleet.
