Il Circolo Su Nuraghe Celebrates on 27 and 28 April

by Sebastiano Tettei

For the festival of the Sardinian people, the Su Nuraghe club has a rich musical program in store with an eye towards young people.

The appointment is for Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April in the large spaces of the company headquarters starting at 5.30pm.

In Alessandria Sa Die is dedicated to the new generations

It won’t be a simple occasion – declare in unison the members of the Board of Directors of the Sardinian club – we want to pass on our history and our roots to the younger generations by accompanying the historical re-enactment with music by Vasco Rossi and Tiziana Grassano. The narrative of Sa dì de s’acciappa will take on a particular meaning this year. To the winds of war we will respond with the words “Procure and moderate, barones know tyranny‘ as a sign of hope and a good time for all of us in the name of peace, health and work. We want a tomorrow of brotherhood and happiness for our people and for the people of the whole world.”

The first day of celebrations will focus on the re-enactment of the events that on 28 April 1794 led to the expulsion of the Piedmontese viceroy Vincenzo Balbiano and the Savoy officials from Cagliari. That day remains for all Sardinians a symbol of pride, unity and awakening.

It should not be surprising that the choice was made to highlight the celebration with the music of Vasco Rossi. Not everyone knows that Vasco has a particular relationship with the island. On the occasion of his first concert in Sardinia, in 1982 at the Assemini sports field, Vasco Rossi says, “I had the idea of writing ‘I want a Reckless Life’ inspired by this wonderful raw and wild land, proud and proud, of stones, sun and wind”.

The musical tribute to what is considered the greatest exponent of Italian rock music will be paid by the band “Le Teste di Zocca”.

The celebrations will continue on Sunday with a performance by singer and entertainer Tiziana Grassano who will involve ‘young people of all ages’ in a fun karaoke.

On both evenings, in addition to the music, it will be possible to taste typical Sardinian products: sandwiches with purpuzza and grilled vegetables, seadas, wine and beer at will.

Free admission.

GOOD LUCK TO TOTTUS!
