Elected in the Region thanks to many hunters who voted for her, Barbara Mazzali (currently Councilor for Tourism in Lombardy), takes a position on new attacks on hunting and to the Region “by the usual pro-animal rights newspapers”.
“The lauded Pettirosso anti-poaching operation – specifies Mazzali – actually tells us that 99.2 Brescian hunters out of 100 respect the rules! Precisely on the outcome of these proceedings, in particular on the disputes relating to live recalls, the excellent work of our hunters’ lawyers must be valorised which, in addition to leading to various acquittals and dismissals, has highlighted the
technical and legal fallacy of the disputes!”.
Finally he observes that “if today there is a deficiency in the protection of the territory and in wildlife management it is certainly not the fault of the Lombardy Region but it was the clumsy reform of the PA by Del Rio which destroyed the fabric of professionalism at the head of the Provinces. On my behalf, as in the past, I will be ready to support the necessary measures for hunting in derogationthe reopening of roccoli and the next hunting calendar”, concludes Mazzali.
