Taranto: donation of a device for pediatric oncohematology

The wave of affection and solidarity that envelops the little ones being treated or hospitalized in the Pediatrics and Pediatric Oncohematology departments of the SS Hospital does not stop. Annunziata. In recent days, Miriam Serio, a talented musical artist, gave Valerio Cecinati, director of the operational unit, a projection vein detector to be used in the department. It is a small healthcare tool that is very valuable as it allows nurses and doctors to locate children’s veins more easily and precisely and, therefore, facilitates the insertion of needles for therapies and IV drips.

CoS 32 Donation Pediatrics 23 04 2024 (2)The vein detector was purchased thanks to the proceeds from the sale of tickets for the musical show “The evening of miracles” which, last December 14th, saw the Teatro Fusco in Taranto packed with artists and enthusiasts who had accepted the invitation of the vocal coach of the InCanto school Miriam Serio, artistic director of the evening.

The evening, presented by Matteo Schinaia, was also attended by the music producer Matteo Tateo, the Maestro Enzo Campagnoli and the well-known face of TV Gianni Sperti, together with other associative and cultural realities of the city of Taranto.

“I thank Miriam Serio and all the people who contributed to this donation for their commitment – ​​declared the general director Gregorio Colacicco – The affection that surrounds our little patients and their families is touching”.
