Another good result obtained yesterday 22 April by the State Police of Prato in terms of combating the phenomenon of drug marketing in the province of Prato.
The investigative activity of the Flying Squad, which at the instigation of Police Commissioner de Lorenzo has focused on particularly sensitive urban contexts, with the provision of reserved observation and control services as well as with shadowing of people suspected of being active in the illegal world of drug dealing, has permission to trace the illicit trafficking carried out by a thirty-one-year-old Italian citizen resident in Prato, already arrested and convicted for drug-related crimes in 2013, identifying a place located in a residential area of the city, rented by the aforementioned and used as narcotic storage base. The operation ended with the arrest of the thirty-one-year-old and the seizure of a large quantity of hashish-type narcotics, the analysis of which revealed a high active ingredient.

the judicial police operation is part of the intense investigative activity carried out by this Flying Squad, directed by VQ Dr. Belelli and aimed at combating and repressing crimes attributable to the marketing and dealing of narcotic substances in this territory.
The investigation found its epilogue yesterday, when the investigators, carrying out stalking activities towards a subject already under attention as he was gravitating towards the world of drug dealing, followed his movements, intercepting him in the morning as he left the house to go to work .
The officers who had gathered circumstantial evidence regarding his criminal involvement proceeded to check the subject’s home where a fragment of a hashish-type narcotic substance was found.
From further investigations, the investigators learned that the suspect had been the tenant of a garage with adjoining cellar located in the Soccorso residential area for some time and therefore it was necessary to carry out a search despite the aforementioned man’s attempt to hinder the PG’s act. claiming that he no longer had the keys to the garage.
The judicial police action was carried out anyway and upon entering the premises, the officers immediately noticed a vacuum machine with numerous bags. Proceeding with the careful search, numerous blocks of what were subsequently analyzed for high quality hashish – as it contains a high active ingredient – with a total weight of about 22 kilosa drug probably destined for the local drug dealing market.
Subsequently, the man was accompanied to the offices of the Prato Police Headquarters for the formalities followed by the arrest in flagrante delicto for possession and dealing of narcotic substances. At the end, on the orders of the competent Judicial Authority, he was associated with the “La Dogaia” prison in Prato.
