From April 23 until October, the Egyptian Museum and the Academy of Sciences of Turin present “Towards the new Gallery of Kings”, a temporary exhibition that celebrates the origins of the museum with statues of gods and pharaohs. This exhibition allows visitors to observe previously unseen details, such as hieroglyphic inscriptions and hidden parts of the sculptures, enhanced by natural light that evokes the ancient location of the artifacts in Thebes. Furthermore, historical documents that tell the story of the birth of the museum will be exhibited, emphasizing the cultural and intellectual importance of Turin in the 19th century.
