Two days of joint exercise and training, Saturday and Sunday 20 and 21 April 2024, for the gorge teams of Lombardy, Liguria and Piedmont of the Cnsas – National Alpine and Speleological Rescue Corps. The technicians, around thirty, met in Arenzano to strengthen synergies and shared techniques. On Saturday they simulated a canyoning meeting in the Beigua park, in a search and rescue scenario for several injured people, as had happened in August 2023 in Lombardy, on the occasion of the international canyoning meeting, which lasted several days, which had involved the Lombard rescuers for almost a week. On Sunday, however, the technicians practiced with other simulators inside the Rio Prialunga, assisted by technical and health instructors. The participants found hospitality at the La Fonda farmhouse, where the Italian Canyoning Association (AIC) was born about 25 years ago. More and more often, the neighboring regional services of the CNSAS are called upon to collaborate, especially in emergency situations. Moments of discussion like this are always greatly appreciated and the mutual satisfaction of representatives, organizers and volunteers is great. Next year Lombardy will organize and host the event.
