Political clash between youth movements in Como. After last Saturday’s Street Parade which aroused so much controversy – complete with a response and claim from the organizers of the event – today Gioventù Nazionale, the youth movement of the Brothers of Italy in Como, also intervenes with a note signed by the provincial coordinator Emanuele Marone . Below is the note.
THEY BROUGHT DEGRADATION TO THE CITY
The street parade staged in Como, rather than against the municipal administration, seems to have been against the city and the people of Como. Among the reasons for the demonstration is the demand for rights but Gioventù Nazionale Como is convinced that duties come first, such as not to harass citizens with music that exceeds the decibels of common sense and the duty not to litter streets and shops with graffiti, also exploiting and belittling the gravity of the geopolitical context in the Middle East. We do not contest the sacred right to demonstrate and express ideological pluralism, founding pillars of democracy, but rather the evident degradation that this demonstration has brought. The organization apologizes to the city and undertakes, at its own expense, to clean up streets and shop windows.
